In the period from 12 to 18 May 2019, a platoon from the military police battalion, with five combat vehicles, participated in the international military exercise “Beyond Horizon-19” at the military base “Novo Selo” near Sliven in the Republic of Bulgaria.
Apart from members of the Military Police Battalion, the international exercise was attended by members of the Military Police from five countries with which our Army has established cooperation in the field of military police services.
The exercise was intended to advance the synchronization and coordination of capabilities for carrying out military-police tasks among the armies of the six participating countries.
As always in the past, the members of the Military Police Battalion with their professional and responsible behavior contributed to this excellent opportunity for affirmation and improvement of the reputation of the unit, as well as of the Army at an international level.
During the exercise, the team together with the other participants of the exercise realized training on several topics: mobile checkpoint, cordon, search, combat skills, operations with war prisoners, transfer, detention, etc.
With the participation of the Military Police Battalion members in such international exercises better elaboration of procedures, techniques and tactics in organizing and carrying out military police tasks in accordance with NATO standards is enabled.
