The Chief of General Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski, today held a meeting with the former resident defense attaché of the Republic of Turkiye in the Republic of North Macedonia, Colonel Serkan Cakir, who has been performing this duty for the past three years.
General Gjurchinovski expressed his gratitude to Colonel Serkan Cakir for his engagement and commitment to developing continuous good bilateral cooperation, which is particularly significant in the field of education of our personnel at military educational institutions in the Republic of Turkiye, as well as in the process of modernization of the Army.
Colonel Cakir thanked for the support from the Chief of General Staff and the members of the Army, during his mandate in the Republic of North Macedonia, especially for the support of the search and rescue teams in the areas affected by the catastrophic earthquake in the Republic of Turkiye, while he promised further support of the Army from the new duty.
