A two-day evaluation visit to the declared units of the Army began today as part of the scheduled activities of the SEEBRIG HQ (South-Eastern Europe Brigade Headquarters).
The activity started with a meeting between Army General Staff Director, Brigadier General Simeon Trajkovski and SEEBRIG Commander, Brigadier General Evangelos Mitroutsikos where the contribution of the declared units of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia to this brigade, and its role as a host country to the brigade were discussed.
Furthermore, SEEBRIG Commander also had a meeting with the State Secretary in the Ministry of Defence, Vladimir Anchev.
In the following two days a SEEBRIG delegation will conduct evaluation of the Engineer Platoon and an Infantry Company, which are our declared units in the brigade, in accordance with the Main Activities Plan of the SEEBRIG HQ.
Today an evaluation visit to the declared Engineer Platoon, part of the Engineer Battalion, will be realized at ATA ‘Krivolak”, and tomorrow an evaluation visit to the declared infantry company at military barracks ‘Jane Sandanski’ in Shtip. During these visits General Mitroutsikos will hold meetings with the Operations Command (OC) Commander, Brigadier General Besnik Emini and with the 1st Infantry Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Sashko Lafchiski.
The South-Eastern Europe Brigade (SEEBRIG) was established and activated by seven participating Nations, on 31st August 1999 in Plovdiv, upon a previously signed Agreement on Multinational Peace Force South-Eastern Europe (MPFSEE) by the Ministers of Defense of the seven participating countries in Skopje on 26th September 1998. Currently, SEEBRIG Headquarters is located in Kumanovo.
