Mission:
To plan, organize, coordinate and provide logistics support to II level units which are supported by the LS Scheme and overall LS of its own units.
Tasks:
- To plan, organize, coordinate and provide logistics support when it is responsible for:
– Supply;
– Maintenance and repair;
– Movement and transport;
– Iinfrastructure and
– Services.
- To coordinate and direct LS requests from commands and units which are supported by LBn;
- To reinforce logistics scope of supported units when conducting training, being in the field or in combat and participating in peacekeeping missions;
- To provide logistics support at the military barracks for all units which work and live in the garrisons.

3rd.LogBt was formed on 12.04.2006. The unit was formed by the transformation of ARM in 2006, the transformation of the former battalion for serving and logistics support, which was operating as a logistics support to the units of then Air Force and Air Defence, positioned in the garrison in Petrovec.
The command of the battalion from 2006 onwards is in barracks N.H. Strasho Pindzur in Petrovec at first into building KN 138, and then with the new transformation of ARM moved into the building KN 148.
The subordinate units of the 3rd.LogBt (logistics support companies) were positioned in the garrisons Petrovec, Skopje and Veles and their mission was regarding logistical support to the commands and units of the ARM in these garrisons. With the establishment of 3rd.LogBt, was defined its mission and the list of essential tasks to carry out in the mission. The mission of 3rd.LogBt for the period from 2006 to 2011 was as follows:
In the area of responsibility, in peacetime, to ensure 1 and 2 line of support for ARM units as well as 1 line of support for the staff units. In times of crisis or war to provide 2 line of support for the ARM units as well as 1 and 2 line of support for the staff units. In peacetime, war or crisis to ensure physical security of allocated facilities and buildings of special significance in its area of responsibility.
Within the given mission and objectives derived from it, the 3rd.LogBt, in the period from 2006 to 2012 performed the following activities:
- Continuous logistics support in the zone of responsibility according to the pattern for logistics support of the ARM units;
- Continuous physical security of the barracks and allocated facilities in the zone of responsibility: separate facilities: Drenov Dol-Petrovec and Otovica-Veles and barracks A.D. Bauman-Veles, Ilinden-Skopje, Goce Delchev-Skopje and N.H Strasho Pindzur-Petrovec;
- Medical support for the units in the zone of responsibility;
- Development of guidelines and analysis for work;
- Participation with personnel in ALTHEA mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina and ISAF in Afghanistan;
- Providing logistics support for the ARM contingents in preparation for participation in missions;
- Logistics support and personnel participation in national and international exercises held in the Republic of Macedonia (Macedonian Flash, Challenge, MEDCEUR, Longbow/Lancer, Safe Path and others.);
- As part of the renovation of the airport in barracks in Petrovec there was modernizing of the Thermal energy service in the barracks;
- Dislocation of the French – South and North-camp the barracks in Petrovec;
- Procurement of MA for the needs of the units in area of responsibility;
- Investment maintenance in the facilities in the area of responsibility with emphasis on commissioning a fully renovated mess hall in the military barracks A.D. Bauman-Veles on 17.12.2010;
- Resupplies of MA and maintenance of certain ARM facilities;
- Implementation of all statutory provisions in operation;
- Successful logistics support to civilian structures (supporting municipalities, The Day of the Tree, supporting regions affected by natural disasters-floods, snow, fire, etc., sports associations, film productions, etc.).
With the transformation of the ARM in 2012 there was a transformation of the 3rd.LogBtin terms of organization and formation of the structure, the reallocation of the unit, and thus also the mission of the unit and the list of the essential tasks of the mission. The new mission of the 3rd.LogBt from 2012 is planning, organizing, coordinating and conducting logistics support on level 2 of the units which are supported according to the LS pattern and overall LS for the units of its composition.
According to the new organization formation structure, the LS Company from Veles garrison was discharged from the unit, and on the other hand, the LS Company from GS and MOD was added which is located in the GS area. Within that company, the mess hall in Goce Delchev is put into operation. There was handing over duty for medical support to the units within the MMC.
