Service personnel of the Army participated in the largest NATO interoperability exercise – Coalition Warrior Interoperability eXploration, eXperimentation, eXamination eXercise (CWIX 2026), which took place from 8 to 26 June, 2026 at the Joint Force Training Centre (JFTC) in Bydgoszcz, Republic of Poland.
The exercise, organized by NATO’s Allied Command Transformation (ACT), brought together around 4,000 participants – operators, engineers and specialists from more than 41 Allied and Partner countries, with the aim of testing, verifying and improving the interoperability of command and control information systems, as well as communication technologies.
More than 25,000 tests were conducted during the exercise in 20 functional areas, covering all five operational domains. The results of the tests contribute to further improving the capabilities of Allied and partner armies to securely share information, act in an integrated manner, and effectively conduct joint operations.
The focus of the Army members was on testing, verifying and improving the interoperability of national capabilities with NATO standards, through information exchange, improving the common operational picture, supporting decision-making processes and strengthening defensive cyber capabilities within the framework of the Multi-Domain Operations concept.
The Army’s participation in CWIX 2026 is another confirmation of its commitment to meeting NATO standards, developing interoperable capabilities, and contributing to the collective security of the Alliance.
