Brigadier General Simeon Trajkovski
Brigadier General Simeon Trajkovski was born in 1969 in Skopje. He completed the Secondary Military School “Bratstvo Edinstvo” in 1987 in Belgrade, and then he graduated from the Ground Forces Military Academy, majoring in artillery in 1991 in Belgrade, Republic of Serbia. He upgraded his military education with postgraduate studies in command and staff duties at the “Ban Josip Jelachikj” Military School in Zagreb, Republic of Croatia 2004-2005, as well as with the NATO Defence College in Rome, Italy, from August 2017 to February 2018. In addition, he obtained the VII 2 degree of education (MBA-Master of Business Administration, specialist in strategic management) in 2013.
He has started his military career at the beginning of the independence of the Republic and the formation of the Army, as a Commander of a Heavy Artillery Platoon. During his military career he has performed command and staff duties among which Planning and Training Officer in J-5 Joint Operations Command of NATO in Brunssum, Netherlands, from 2006 until 2009.
On February 28, 2023, he was appointed Director of the General Staff by Decree of the President of the Republic of North Macedonia.
In his military career he has been commendated and awarded by the Brigade Commander, the Chief of General Staff of the Army and the Defence Minister. He has been awarded: Commendation in 2011 and 2018; paid leave in 2010, 2011, 2017, 2018 and 2022; monetary incentive in 2019 and 2021, as well as:

- Ministry of Defence plaque in 2023;

During his professional career Brigadier General Trajkovski has completed many courses and trainings, among which the more significant ones: Security Seminar organized by the Marshall Center – Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Ohrid in 2024, Executive seminar for seniors at the Marshal Centre in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 2024, Course for Leaders in the 21st Century in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, NATO Course for European Security and Cooperation, 2001, CIMIC Course for Multinational Peace Support Operations in Kristoni, 2003, Defence Management and Leadership Course, Ohrid 2002, Program for familiarization for staff officers of the partner nations, Brussels, 2003, Course on Defence Diplomacy, Ohrid, 2004, Executive seminar for multinational operations, Ohrid, 2005, Training for Combined Joint Task Forces Commands in Brunssum, 2006, Course on Management in Defence, Ohrid, 2009, Course on Public Relations level 1, Skopje, 2014 and Course for Leaders on Strategic Level in Budva, Montenegro, 2014. He is fluent in Englsh, Serbian, Croatian and partially in Greek language. Brigadier General Trajkovski is married and a parent of two children.
