Mission:
It monitors, controls and assesses the ARM combat readiness, organizes and monitors the application of measures for readiness of the ARM commands and units and organizes and coordinates the ARM operations in country and abroad.

Tasks of combat readiness section (CRS)
Monitors, analyses and controls ARM commands and units combat readiness.
Prepares an annual plan for control of ARM commands and units combat readiness.
Suggests measures for improvement of ARM commands and units combat readiness.
Prepares annual analyses of ARM combat readiness.
Coordinates and organizes the activities when briefing The President of the Republic of Macedonia about ARM combat readiness.
Coordinates and organizes the activities when briefing CGS of ARM about ARM combat readiness.
Monitors, analyses and controls the implementation of the measures for ARM commands and units readiness.
It has all information about the entire ARM units’ equipment.
Writes documents on the bases on the minutes from the inspections conducted by the inspection section in MOD.
Organizes, coordinates and monitors the application of measures for improvement of the weaknesses and shortcomings found during the inspection.
Takes part in planning the army utilization.
Prepares the so called draft program 3 “ARM performance” for activity “5551- measures for readiness and combat assessment”.
Suggests proposals and procedures and norms regarding combat readiness.
Tasks of Operations Section (OS)
Organizes, coordinates, controls and monitors ARM operations abroad.
Coordinates the activities for utilization of ARM capacities for local community support (engagement of engineers units).
Coordinates the activities of military-police security for the needs of ARM, MOD and RM.
Informs MOD about the Government of RM for ARM participation in peace keeping missions abroad.
Creates an annual draft plan for ARM participation in missions abroad.
Directs the first subordinate commands and units in preparation of dynamic plan for ARM units’ deployment in peace keeping missions.
Writes preoperational and other additional orders and documents for ARM units’ deployment in peace keeping missions.
Creates NATO and EU documents for ARM units’ deployment in peace keeping missions abroad: Transfer of authority, Forces prep, Formal offer, and Travel Order.
If necessary it organizes reconnaissance of the facilities for deployment of ARM units in peace keeping missions.
Controls the readiness of ARM contingents when deployed in peace keeping missions.
Monitors and analyses ARM participation in operations abroad.
Analyses lessons learned and directs their implementation.
Takes part in domestic and international conferences about generating forces for ARM participation in operations abroad.
Takes part in the process of planning ARM participation in operations abroad.
Takes part in creation of the plan of ARM utilization.
Takes part in planning the finances for the Program 8 “Peace keeping and humanitarian missions” according to CRS.
Suggests programs, procedures and norms regarding the operations.
Tasks of Operative Center of GS of ARM (OCGS of ARM)
Organizes, coordinates, controls and monitors ARM performance in peace time.
Organizes, coordinates, controls and monitors ARM commands and units operations.
Organizes, coordinates, controls and monitors the execution of the air surveillance and security of the souvereignity of the Macedonian air space.
Coordinates and organizes operations for support of MIA, state institutions, local community units, non governmental institutions and assists citizens in disasters, epidemics, technical-technological and other kinds of crises.
Exchanges information with MIA, CMC, ARS and other.
Coordinates activities connected to crisis management.
Plans and organizes the performance of the operative group.
Records ARM units’ events on daily bases and applies measures and procedures for minimizing the time of reaction between the time when the event has been recorded and the time it has been informed about that event.
Prepares the so called draft program 3 “ARM performance” for activity “5550- Operative service” and “5553 – ARM performance in disasters”.
Takes part in planning ARM utilization.
Plans the operations for support of MIA, state institutions, local community units, non governmental institutions and assists citizens in disasters, epidemics, technical-technological and other kinds of crises.
Suggests procedures, rules and norms regarding the operations.
Chief of J-3/GS
Colonel Robert Tasevski
Colonel Robert Tasevski
Colonel Robert Tasevski was born on March 31, 1971, in Skopje. He graduated from the Military Academy “General Mihailo Apostolski” in Skopje. He began his military career as an infantry platoon commander in 1994. Throughout his career, he has held various command and staff posts at the battalion, brigade, operations command, and General Staff levels. Since 2024, he has been appointed the Chief of the J-3/General Staff (GS) Section of the Army.
For the needs of the Army, Colonel Tasevski enhanced his education with postgraduate studies at the Command and Staff Academy “Georgi Stoykov Rakovski” in Sofia, Bulgaria (2007–2009), earning a master’s degree in “Organization and Management of Tactical and Operational Land Units.” In 2017, he completed Advanced Defense Studies and a second-level master’s program in “Global Strategy and Security” at Sapienza University in Rome.
He has participated in numerous exercises both in country and abroad, with notable ones including: “RISING PHALANG“ in the Republic of Macedonia (2006), where he served as the exercise director. Also he participated in “Rapid Trident” in Ukraine (2011), where he served as an operations officer. Colonel Tasevski actively participates in national and international conferences and seminars in the field of defense and security. Since 2019, he has been a project leader for activities related to NATO, the EU, and the UN.
During his career, Colonel Tasevski has received multiple awards, commendations, and decorations from the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Army for his outstanding performance and achievements.
He speaks English and Italian.
He is married and has two children.
