Colonel Rodni Mencho Lazovski was born in Sveti Nikole, where he completed his secondary education and obtained the title of legal technician. He began his military education at the Military Academy of the Land Army in Belgrade and later completed his studies at the General Mihailo Apostolski Military Academy in Skopje as an infantry officer. He further advanced his education by completing a specialization in command and staff duties at the Military Academy in Skopje.
Colonel Lazovski started his command duties as the commander of the Kichevo Border Guards. He subsequently served as the commander of the Military Police Platoon in the Bitola garrison, the Military Police Company Commander in Skopje, and as the acting commander of the Military Police Battalion in Bitola. Additionally, he held the position of deputy commander of the Border Training Battalion within the Border and Gender Training Support Service in Veles.
Throughout his career, he has undertaken several staff duties, including serving as a Military Police Planning Officer at the Special Forces and Services Training Center in Skopje. He also worked as an Officer for Operations, Training, and Inter-Army Cooperation at the Training Command in Veles; a Protocol Planning Advisor in the Department of Protocol and Translation at the Ministry of Defense; a Protocol Advisor in the Department of Communication, Analytics, and Operational Support at the Ministry of Defense; a Personnel Officer in the Joint Operational Command in Kumanovo; an Executive Officer to the Deputy Chief of General Staff; and as Chief of Cabinet to the Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Army.
To further enhance his military expertise, Colonel Lazovski has completed various specialized courses, including: Hostage Negotiation Course; United Nations Military Police Course; Military Disaster Relief Course; Captain Military Police Course – Advanced Officers Course; United States Military Observers Course; International Staff Officer Orientation Course; NATO Officers Staff Course; Civil-Military Cooperation Course; NATO and EU Security Cooperation Course.
Colonel Lazovski has also contributed to NATO-led operations, serving in the “Decisive Support” peacekeeping mission in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan as a Training, Counseling, and Assistance Officer in the Personnel Section of the Training, Counseling, and Assistance Command-North.
