The Department for International Military Cooperation (DIMC) is part of the Army Chief of Defense (CHOD) Personnel Staff and their primary mission includes designing, managing, coordinating and completing activities which derive from the Army CHOD yearly plan.
Bilateral activities – implementation of bilateral cooperation plans (assigning tasks and activities deriving from the same)
Regional activities (the DIMC is the executor of arranging, following, managing and contributing to regional initiatives we, as Army, have approached, and they are the US-Adriatic Charter, BCHOD conference and DECI)

Colonel Dragan Markovski
Colonel Dragan Markovski was born on 10 February 1978, in Kratovo. After finishing his primary and secondary education in Skopje, he pursued military studies at the Military Academy “General Mihailo Apostolski” in Skopje. In August 2001, he was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the infantry.
He began his military career as a platoon commander at the Air Force Base in Petrovec. Throughout his career, he has held various command and staff positions, including platoon commander, company commander, S-3 chief in a battalion, Protocol Department Chief in the Cabinet of the Chief of the General Staff, and Acting Deputy Chief of the CGS Cabinet. Since August 18, 2024, he has served as the Chief of the Department for International Military Cooperation in the General Staff of the Army.
Colonel Markovski has completed several courses in the area of training, operations, protocol, and diplomacy. He has participated in numerous military exercises and conferences both domestically and abroad.
In 2015, he earned a master’s degree in security and defense from the Military Academy “General Mihailo Apostolski” in Skopje. His achievements have been recognized with several awards and commendations, including distinctions from the Minister of Defense and the Chief of the General Staff, such as badges, monetary and time-off awards, and certificates of commendation and appreciation.
He is fluent in English. He is married, and has two children. In his free time, he enjoys sports, particularly athletics and tennis.
