Mission
The Sergeant Major of the Army is responsible for structuring and operating the NCO Corps of the Army, as well as for advising and assisting the Army’s Chief of the General Staff on matters within the scope of the NCO Corps.
Tasks
- Gives advice and proposals to the Chief of the General Staff on matters that are within the scope of work of the NCO Corps;
- Implements the established policies and standards in the training, appearance, implementation and performance of the Enlisted personnel’ activities;
- Directs the professional development of Non-Commissioned Officers and Enlisted in the Army through the channel for support of non-commissioned officers;
- Monitors, coordinates, and directs the individual training, and education of Non-Commissioned Officers and Enlisted;
- Implements the Non-Commissioned Officers Development Concept and monitors its implementation;
- Participates in the implementation of the Command Team Concept in the Army;
- Participates in personnel management of Non-commissioned Officers and Enlisted;
- He is in charge of communicating with and advising Non-Commissioned Officers and Enlisted.
